​I hosted Afternoon Alternative, a music show, and co-hosted Liberal Lunch Hour, a talk show with the College Democrats. I also assisted with broadcasts of sporting events on campus and helped with various other programming during my time at WNHU.

 

It’s hard to pick a single favorite WNHU memory! I always describe my experience working at the station as the best job I’ll ever have. It truly was. Being able to work with my friends while listening to and talking about music was a dream.

 

During my time at WNHU, I felt that the university gave us a lot of autonomy and opportunities to make decisions and come up with and implement new programming ideas. Bryan Lane was a wonderful manager and mentor to me and provided me with many of these opportunities, as well as lots of sage career and life advice.

 

I think if I had to pick one favorite memory, it would be any time that I heard a great new song and would run down the hall to tell Bryan and any of the other staff how it was going to be a hit and had to be added to the rotation.

 

I loved my time at WNHU both as a volunteer DJ and eventually as a paid employee. I’m always happy to reminisce, and I often think about asking to come back and try to volunteer again one day when life isn’t getting in the way as much.
